You is a hand-tufted viscose and linen area rug by Paolo Stella for Malcusa, made to order in India at 200 cm (6’7”).
The middle word of Take Me Up — Where, Ever, You, Want, To Be — and one of the two smaller formats in the collection, which makes it the easier one to place in a bedroom or a study.
The cut-and-loop pile runs 12 to 30 millimetres, so the design is built out of depth as much as drawing. Viscose and linen, hand-tufted in India over six to eight weeks.
Stella designs under Suonare Stella, the interiors platform he built after a career in publishing, film and advertising — Elle, Lampoon, the Venice Film Festival's Rising Star prize, and campaigns for Chanel, Bulgari and Louis Vuitton.
