Kassandra Thatcher is an artist and designer working largely in clay. She notes the style of her work ‘static gesture,’ in reference to movement and form as the basin of her inspiration. Her work is grounded in a fascination with how objects, form, and light can inform how we live. Her Lighting Collections merge functionality and art, intentionally blurring the line and asking you to consider space in a new way. Her sculpture practice is improvisational and gestural, suspending motion, and asking you to consider the relationship between movement, light, and form.
