White Moth Nightstand / Side Table by Panorammma Atelier

The White Moth Nightstand is a sculptural white onyx nightstand — equally at home as a stone side table — carved by Panorammma Atelier in Mexico City for their Standing Stone Collection. Cut from a solid block of translucent Mexican white onyx, its asymmetrical silhouette echoes the irregular geometry of a moth's folded wings.

Hidden compartments open one after another in a slow, wing-like motion, turning the ordinary act of reaching for a bedside table into something tactile and deliberate. Onyx is neither fully opaque nor fully transparent, so the stone catches and diffuses light the way a nocturnal moth's wing does, and the piece shifts in tone as the light moves through the day.

Every edition is unique: the veining, translucency and colour belong to the block it was cut from, and no two pieces read the same. Available as a single nightstand or side table, or as a mirrored set of two to flank a bed. Custom sizes and stones quoted on request.
