Weighted is a hand-knotted wool and silk area rug by Temple Rugs, made to order in Nepal.
It comes from the same series of watercolors on weight that produced Stones, but where that design settles, this one moves. The forms give a room direction — an elegant staircase descending into an entryway, or a ladder headed for the sky.
Wool carries the mass and silk marks the lift, worked at two pile heights so the rug reads as depth rather than pattern. Colorways are named for boxing weight classes: Cruiserweight, Welterweight, Heavyweight and Featherweight.
