Untitled #1 is a hand-woven 100% wool dhurrie by Daniele Daminelli for Malcusa, made to order as a 9’10” square.
A dhurrie is a flatweave — no pile at all — which makes this the flattest and most architectural piece in the Malcusa range. It also makes it the largest: at 9’10” square it is built to take a whole room rather than sit inside one.
Daminelli founded Studio2046 in Treviglio, Lombardy in 2017, an interdisciplinary practice working across architecture, interiors and product. His interests run to Asian cinema, fashion and European Baroque, and the studio holds sustainability as a design constraint rather than an afterthought.
