Ultralight is a hand-knotted 100% wool area rug by Temple Rugs, made to order in Nepal.
It shares its origin with Graffito — the same ink drawing, the same active field of scribbles, marks and boxes — but takes those marks down in scale and then plays the smaller sizes against one another. The result is a finer, quieter rug, with the energy held closer to the surface.
A 4” fringe in the design’s secondary color is optional, though recommended. Colorways are named for the common, famous and infamous places where human markings turn up — Prison Walls, Tikal, Egyptian Tomb, Subway Car and Pompeii — ephemeral inscriptions left to let others know that we were here.
