Stones is a hand-knotted wool and silk area rug by Temple Rugs, made to order in Nepal at 9 x 10’10”.
The design comes out of a series of watercolors exploring weight, translated here into natural materials — wool carrying the mass, silk catching the light where the forms lift off the ground. Two pile heights give the shapes their heft without turning the rug busy; it stays moody and quiet at room scale.
Four colorways are offered, each named for a common weight of marijuana: Gram, Eighth, Ounce and Pound.
