Sketch is a hand-knotted rug by British artist Lucy Naughton for Malcusa, made to order in custom sizes and colorways.
The name is literal — Sketch keeps the looseness of a working drawing rather than resolving it, which is characteristic of how Naughton builds: intuitively, from found material, letting worn and damaged surfaces stay visible in the finished piece.
Hand-knotted rather than tufted, which is what holds a line this gestural without blurring it. Made to order in custom sizes and colorways.
