Rinascimento is a hand-tufted viscose and linen area rug by Sarah Balivo for Malcusa, made to order in India at 6’7” x 9’10”.
Rinascimento — the Renaissance — is the most classically Italian of Balivo's designs for the house. She trained as an architect near Naples, moved to Milan in 2012, and works as a set designer for the fashion and luxury world, which is where her instinct for staging a room comes from.
Viscose and linen, hand-tufted in India over six to eight weeks. The design can also be made without the viscose — ask us about material substitutions if you want a flatter, more matte surface. Custom sizes and colorways on request.
