The Mush Lamp (Tiny) is the most compact sculptural table lamp in Jorge Suárez-Kilzi’s Mush series, scaled down for a nightstand, a shelf or a desk without losing the swelling, mushroom-like profile the collection is known for. Lit, the translucent shell throws a low, diffused glow rather than a direct beam.
Both shades, upper and lower, lift off, and each is built up by hand from organic fibre, resin and fibreglass over a polished stainless steel frame. The surface is finished to a fine, paper-like grain that catches light across the day. Because every lamp is laid up by hand in Spain, tone and texture shift slightly from one to the next.
At just over 12 inches tall, it suits a small room, a reading corner or a pair placed either side of a bed — an entry point into collectible contemporary lighting at a friendlier scale.
