Lucie Floor Lamp by Nicholas Obeid

Lucie Floor Lamp is a solid wood and European vellum floor lamp by Studio Nicholas Obeid, made to order in New York at 56" high.

A tapered solid wood base rises through a cut-out vellum shade, bisecting it, with hand-polished aluminium accents worked to a mirror finish where the two meet. The cord is twisted cloth.

Vellum is a skin, not a paper: it transmits light warmly and unevenly, and no two shades are identical. At four feet eight it reads as a floor lamp that holds its own beside a chair without dominating the corner. Available in bleached ash or oxidized oak. Designed 2023.
