James Desk by Marbera

The James Desk is an Art Deco inspired writing desk by Marbera, designed in Paris and made to order in Italy. A generous rectangular top is framed in wood or lacquer and set with an inlaid panel of onyx or burl wood, so the stone becomes the centerpiece of the working surface.

Eight finishes play the frame against the inlay in different ways: the soft translucency of ivory onyx against black lacquer or mirror-gloss wood, the amber depth of honey onyx echoing honey burl, or a fully wood version in black lacquer and burl. Clean geometry and substantial proportions give it the presence of a statement piece in a study, office or library.
