Fisherman Bench by Panorammma Atelier

$10,000.00

The Fisherman Bench reads as something foreign, almost alien, as if recovered from the ocean floor of a lost planet. Both sculptural and functional, the piece opens a narrative space of its own, inviting fantasy into reality through its unusual form and presence. Part of a limited series of unique objects, it incorporates upcycled electroplating rods—industrial tools once used to submerge metal objects into chrome baths, which over time accumulated dense layers of copper, nickel, and chrome. Though born from an industrial process, the resulting material recalls organic, coral-like formations, creating a striking tension between the artificial and the natural. Because the rods are a conglomeration of different metals that cannot be conventionally welded, their material limitations dictated the bench’s construction through rudimentary joints and an intentionally uneven form. The result is a crooked, highly textured sitting piece with an industrial shine and an almost prop-like quality—an object that feels as though it belongs to a parallel fiction.
