Deserto is a hand-tufted wool and bamboo silk area rug by Giulio Brambilla for Malcusa, made to order in India at 6’7” x 9’10”.
Deserto closes out Mid C, the seven-design collection Brambilla drew for the house. Mid-century and Art Deco are the reference points; an architect's sense of proportion is what holds them together, and colour is used sparingly enough that the texture stays the subject.
New Zealand wool and bamboo silk, hand-tufted in India over six to eight weeks. Available hand-knotted on request, and in custom sizes and colorways.
