Curve is a hand-tufted wool and bamboo silk area rug by Giulio Brambilla for Malcusa, made to order in India at 6’7” x 9’10”.
It belongs to Mid C, Brambilla's collection for the house. An architect by training — Politecnico di Milano — he spends much of his working life hunting through vintage warehouses, ateliers and galleries, and the collection carries that habit openly: mid-century and Art Deco reference points held in proportion by a Neoclassical eye, with pattern, colour and unexpected material pairings doing the work.
New Zealand wool carries the ground and bamboo silk catches the light across it, tufted by hand in India over six to eight weeks. A hand-knotted version is available on request, as are custom sizes and colorways.
