A monolithic, obsidian-like mirror that merges material intensity with conceptual depth, Conjoined Mirrors reimagines reflection as a passage rather than a boundary. Formed from industrial slag with the appearance of natural obsidian, the piece joins two spaces through its mirrored surfaces, allowing light and reflection to move between them in a continuous exchange. Both sculptural and atmospheric, it draws on the historical use of obsidian in Aztec divination, where mirrors served as tools for seeing beyond the present. Grounded in this lineage yet distinctly contemporary, the piece carries a sense of mystery and presence, functioning as both a reflective object and a powerful spatial intervention.
