Circular is a hand-knotted viscose and linen round rug by Raul for Malcusa, made to order in India at 6’7” in diameter.
It is the only round rug in the Malcusa range we carry. A circle does something a rectangle cannot — it softens a hard-edged room, and it sits under a round dining table or a chair-and-ottoman corner without any of the alignment problems a rectangle brings.
Raul lives and works between the United States and Europe and paints on instinct: fast marks, hot colour, nothing laboured. Nomadic Signs translates that directly, hand-knotted rather than tufted so the gesture stays crisp. Viscose and linen, six to eight weeks.
