The 2023 Armchair is a waxed aluminum chair by Studio HAOS, made to order in Portugal, with a cowhide seat slung inside the frame. The aluminum is waxed rather than polished, so it holds the tool marks and the soft grey cloudiness of the raw metal, and the hide brings the only warmth and the only give in the piece.

It belongs to the studio's 2023 collection, an all-aluminum body of work that treats a structural metal as a finish material in its own right. Studio HAOS presented the collection at Love House in New York.
