The Ame Natural Lounge is a collectible lounge chair created by Studio Paolo Ferrari in collaboration with New York-based Japanese textile artist Hiroko Takeda. The piece draws on the rich heritage of Japanese garment making, and in particular the "Mino," a traditional raincoat made from layers of straw.
The chair's sculptural upholstered form is punctuated by Takeda's handwoven textile, with expressive natural fibers that gather and drape across the outer back like a woven fringe. Part furniture and part textile art, each handwoven back is made by hand, so no two chairs are exactly alike.
Shown with Maharam Pebble Wool upholstery on a matte black metal frame. The handwoven textile requires delicate care; studio care instructions are provided with purchase. Please contact us for customizations.
