The Boe Be Bop is a collectible lounge chair born from Studio Paolo Ferrari's collaboration with New York-based textile artist Hiroko Takeda, an extension of their shared creative journey. In early discussions the pair considered expressing textile as structure, and the concept evolved into an exploration of the painterly, inspired by the work of American painter Milton Avery.
Built on the compact solid ash frame of the Boe Lounge, the Be Bop is finished in Takeda's custom handwoven textile, making it both a functional lounge chair and a piece of textile art. Each textile is woven by hand, so no two chairs are exactly alike.
