She takes a soft, smooth, malleable surface, and turns it into something textured and solid through the use of actual stone and stone carving tools. Through handmade texture, layering of glazes, and removing the idea of perfection, these feminine form sculptures appear to have lived a life, as if they are found objects rather than created.
